Våffeldagen, which is usually celebrated on March 25, is the feast of Marie Bebådelsedagen (or Annunciation Day). That was the day, in Christian ideology, the Archangel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary that she had been chosen to be the mother of Jesus.
Swedes have found a great way of celebrating this day: we eat waffles! The Museum will celebrate Våffeldagen on Friday, March 23, where we will begin serving delicious Swedish waffles from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost: $5 per serving.
